Our Baby Monkey

For those of you who don't know, my husband loves monkeys! I don't know where this obsession has come from, but he just can't get enough of them! So, I think it is only fitting that he calls our son, "monkey boy!" Don't worry, this is a term of endearment! Because of this love of monkeys, it was easy when we decided on the jungle theme for Garrett's room. We shared this theme with some of our family and in turn we got a lot of safari gear! One of our favorites was the onesie that my sister-in-law made that says baby monkey on it. Let's just say that Colin may have a matching shirt! We haven't taken a picture of them both wearing their shirts yet, but promise to post one soon!

We also got a cute stuffed animal monkey from Colin's Aunt. We started with a few and have gotten many cute ones from friends and family to add to the collection. So, I got this idea from one of my friends to take a picture of Garrett each month by the same thing to see how much he grows! So, we decided on this cute monkey that Miriam gave us. We had so much fun and were laughing hysterically by the end. Garrett didn't like it too much at first, but then was quick to warm up as he started giving the monkey kisses.
