Friends Forever

Garrett has sure been loving friends lately. He constantly talks about, "What's Garrett's friends' names?" He then lists off all of his friends including kids in the neighborhood, kids in nursery, cousins, and sometimes he even mentions mommy or daddy too! He thinks it is great to list off Mommy's friends and Daddy's friends also (which are usually the parents of his buddies!) He is three and still has a hard time sharing toys and taking turns, but he loves when a friend comes to play or he can go to friend's house. We have some books from my teaching collection that we read often that talk about what a good friend is and I hope that he can learn to treat others with respect and kindness and have lots of good friends! I am grateful for the friendships I have and I know how important those relationships are to me! I hope that Garrett can also value these close bonds and surround himself with good people in his life to help him make good decisions and that he can also be a good example to others to choose the right!

Here are two of his favorite people! I wish I had pictures of all his buddies and could include them all on here!

Brinley comes to play once a week while her Mom is at work. These two are like brother and sister. They fight and love each other so much! Here is a sweet moment when they are cuddled on the couch watching a movie! Brinley doesn't look too happy, but it sure is cute to see Garrett's arm around her to comfort her!
Will and Garrett! These two are like cousins! His mommy and I are really close and I am so glad that our sons can be close too! We are sad that they don't live as close to us anymore, but feel blessed that they are only 20 minutes away and we get to see them at least twice a month for our babysitting co-op! These two have bonded for life with their love of Woody, Buzz, and Lightning McQueen! :)

Those are cute pictures. We will have to have Garrett over soon to play with Tyler.

I didn't know you started a babysitting co-op with Leslie. Isn't it wonderful?

Amelia is into having "friends" now too...even if they don't really play together. It is still cute to see how excited she gets to have her friends come over for music class.
