Well, here she is, checked in to the hospital and ready for labor and delivery! We spent the evening cleaning up the house, packing our bags, and wrapping up a few things. I took Maggie for a walk (possibly her last one for a while) and we had dinner with our neighbors, the Summers Family. We arrived here at the IMC around 9:00pm Monday evening. Trish was put into her hospital gown and they checked a few basic things (blood pressure, blood sugar, etc.). They also started the cervix ripening process and hooked up the contraction and baby heartbeat monitors. She isn't dialated at all right now, but we hope that will change over the night.
So far so good! We've been here just over two hours now and we can't complain. The hospital is nice and clean, our nurse has been very kind, and Trish is watching an episode of the Cosby Show season 3. :)
These are also pictures that were taken with our new Canon PowerShot SD850 digital camera. Trish has been wanting a new camera ever since we took our other one to the beach and it now makes a grinding noise because of sand. We let her splurge one last time because she is about to experience the ride of a lifetime!
